On 16 June 2021 Dr Cristina Blasi, coordinator of ITFLOWS, participated in the Border Management (BM) Community of European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS) Working Groups.
As an evolution of the European Commission’s Community of Users for Safe, Secure and Resilient Societies (CoU), CERIS seeks a proactive participation of technical experts and civil society , to discuss research in security such within FCT, DRS, BES, INFRA (see the Programme). CERIS is structured according to the Commission’s EU security research programme (Border Management, Fight Crime and Terrorism, Disaster Resilience Societies, Resilient Infrastructures), and it includes a Border Management (BM) Thematic Working Group (ThWG), in which Dr Blasi is participating.
The Working Group is composed of the following experts from EU security research projects: Cristina Blasi Casagran, Christoph Busch, Julie De Groot, Dimitris Katsaros, Isto Mattila, Pantelis Michalis and Armin Reuter.
The Working Groups in the various areas are going to ensure information sharing of technical/scientific knowledge and “bridge” among research areas and sub-areas. The Groups will monitor relevant events and developments in our areas, and contribute to Thematic State of the Art and Trends Report at the end of the year.
