ITFLOWS Researcher Participates in Mirror Conference 2021

On the 15th of December 2021, ITFLOWS coordinator Dr Cristina Blasi participated in the Mirror Conference 2021 titled ‘Migration in Focus: Addressing Informational Challenges in Humanitarian Actions‘. The conference which was hosted by the EU-funded project MIRROR (Migration-Related Risks Caused by Misconceptions of Opportunities and Requirement), set out to provide an interactive and knowledge exchange platform. Key focuses included fostering debates on he most challenging and novel issues in the field of migration, while also identifying novel ways to fill in “informational gaps” in formulating and deploying policies and humanitarian responses targeting migrants. Dr Blasi’s presentation titled “Predicting migration flows in the EU. The ITFLOWS project”, outlined key ITFLOWS efforts and outputs including contextual backdrops, the EU MigraTool, and user experiences.
