The Bertelsmann Foundation hosted a workshop in Berlin on the 6th of June 2020. At the workshop a group of experts from research, NGOs and policy institutions came together to discuss the role digital trace data in general and Google Trends data in particular can play in predicting different forms of migration.
Tobiad Heidland and Andre Gröger presented preliminary from ITFLOWS, receiving inputs from other experts and giving advice based on the lessens that were learned during ITFLOWS’ research.
