Migration World

This section provides findings and relevant information about migration flows around the globe.

It analyses irregular migration trajectories as multi-causal and non-linear processes spanning from departure to final destination that are shaped by the interplay between structural factors and individual determinants. Particularly, it identifies the drivers in origin countries and factors in transit regions. It also maps and identifies region-specific migration drivers and factors shaping trajectories by gathering and analysing information from scholarly literature as well as reports, situation analyses, and policy documents produced by public bodies, international organisations, and civil society, while tapping into locally grounded knowledge of experts.
